  Southwestern University, the first institution of higher learning in the state of Texas makes it's home in Georgetown.  With its' beginnings going back to 1840; chartered by the Republic of Texas. Southwestern is a private and selective liberal arts institution  located on a beautiful 700 acre campus.

Georgetown is nestled in the Hill Country just 25 miles north of Austin along I-35, providing a short drive to all that Austin has to offer.  The city of Georgetown has received many awards.
